CLOSE YOUR EYES & BREATHE IT IN
“Since when," he asked,
"Are the first line and last line of any poem
Where the poem begins and ends?”

TELL YOUR HEART TO BEAT AGAIN – DANNY GOKEY
"You and I are named as flowers. We may change outwardly with each season, but inside we remain the same and no-one can take that goodness from us" <3
The church bells tolled in the distance
across the meadows green and sweet
the stillness of the waters softened the echoes
of the Fieldfare's song so tranquil and replete
the bird on the wing is a magical thing
captures the light from the golden hour
purple hued moods and tips of blue
paint the sky and teasel flowers
bruised like ripened berries in Summer
scudding clouds that threaten thunder
answers flood the empty spaces
erasing question marks, I wonder
is this the meaning of life at last
immersed in nature; just being at one
journeying with no particular purpose
soaking in the setting Sun
captivated in this precious moment
the Fieldfare's cry transcends through time
the echo reaches my ears at last
I do not speak; I do not mime
but standing still and being me
listening, not thinking, is the key
for everything we need is here
within this moment; crystal clear
empty our minds, our hearts, our souls
immortal words will find us
once we are emptied of the old
the new and wondrous life can find us
I am ready so let it be
embrace the newly reborn me
leave the old and fragile past
live freely, love dearly until my last
so when the final breath breathes outward
the peace will be an infinite one
the footprint I leave may be a small one
but it will be felt deeply
like the waxing and waning of the Moon
and the rise and fall of the setting Sun.
