Jimi Hendrix, Mitch Mitchell (drummer)and Noel Redding (Bass) who came from Folkestone, all formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience (1968 photograph of them boarding a plane at Lydd Airport)

 

I can see this house from my landing window. They stayed at The Red House in the 1960s.
