Draugr Deathlord

I've finally finished my first custom of 2017, and it is the Draugr Deathlord from Skyrim!

This fig was made because of Dalastprime's contest on instagram. The theme is zombie and since I've been playing a lot of Skyrim Remastered I thought why not make a Draugr. From what I've read and heard about the Draugr from Skyrim is that they are undead from years ago when the Dragon Priests controlled Skyrim, the Draugr protected the Priests after they were put into the dungeons in which you find them in Skyrim, don't quote me with any of this info because I'm not 100% sure.

We'll let's get onto how I made this fig. I actually started this fig before Dalastprime announced his contest but only a little bit of work but as soon as he announced I worked on this fig and put alot of effort into it. The sculpt on this fig is by far my most favorite sculpt I've ever done and I'm so happy with how it turned out. All sculpted parts were sculpted with Procreate. This fig was also my first time working with fabric the way I did with this fig. Personally I think all the fabric work turned out amazing, especially the little waist skirt. . This fig has a modified torso to add more accuracy and was painted using Apple Barrel, Anita, and Citadel paints. I'm really happy with how the paint job and sculpt work turned out on this one, hope you guys like it too!

Now onto the sword and little diorama. The sword is completely custom made except for the little circle under the hilt, that's a lego piece. For the sword I used real wood for the handle and card and procreate for the blade. The way I made the sword was inspired by Detroitika or Tanner and a show called "Forged in Fire". I really like how it turned out! Now onto the "little" dio I made. So yesterday as of the day this was posted I was wondering what type of scenery I could make for this custom then it hit me, I could make a dragon work wall. So I decided to get a piece of EVA foam mat and carve actual dragon letters into it. If you want to know what words are on there, they are Yol (first word for the fire shout), Dovakiin, and Word of Power. The cut marks were then indented by using a heater. I used real rocks and dried moss for the moss and rocks and then painted the cardboard base brown, then after that I added little splotches of Citadels Agrellan Earth and that's how the dried and cracked soil was made. The little pedestal has a lego piece in it so I can attach mini figs to it.

Overall I think this is my best custom yet, and it's just the beginning of 2017. I have a lot more customs planned so stay tuned! My next custom will most likely be a Skyrim fig. Comments and faves appreciated! Hope you all enjoy this custom as much as I do, and if you got this far thanks, you get a pat on the back!
