LAFREC Project Mid-Term Review : visit to Rutsiro Tea Factory | February 4, 2018
The World Bank conducts the Mid-Term Review for the Landscape Approach to Forest Restoration and Conservation (LAFREC).
This exercise- conducted from February 1 to February 8, 2018- included meetings with implementing stakeholders and partners and field visits to some of the activities implemented under the project.
On February 4, 2018, the Team visited Rutsiro Tea Factory where activities related to the promotion of alternative sources of energy for tea factories are proposed to be carried. At the factory, the team assessed the use of biomass in tea processing and learnt of the process of producing tea and the use of biomass
