Side of barn

My theme for this loop was haunted creepy. I chose this photo because I thought that with the age that the barn showed and with photo shopping someone in it would look creepy. This photo relates to my historical influence because the book that she wrote, “The Haunting of Hill House”, was about a haunted house and that is what I tried to make this. The compositional decisions I made help to show my theme because of the placing of the barn. I think that because you can only see a part of the barn and there is someone sitting there, it causes you to wonder what could be at the rest of the barn. I think also that the darker sky helps to show my theme because it looks creepy. The technical decisions I made help to cause a more haunted/ creepy look. 1 main thing that makes the photo look creepy is the girl sitting on the barn. To do this I took a picture of the girl sitting on stairs and then later photoshoped her into this photo. After putting her in, I turned down the opacity to make her more ghost like. To make this photo look creepier I also made the sky a lot darker than it originally was. To do this I changed the hue/sat and made it darker with a darker blue and then turned up the saturation.
