Harrassment

Three crows took turns dive-bombing this Osprey, named 'Lacey' for a good half hour. This is my second year watching the Union Bay ospreys 'Chester' and 'Lacey'.

The Union bay Natural Area was bulldozed last summer. The disturbed ground, and destroyed underbrush has created an excellent habitat for crows. I'm nervous the much larger crow population will harm the Osprey's ability to rear chicks.

The blog, unionbaywatch.blogspot.com/ chronicles the lives of the animals I visit regularly, including a lot of detail on the lives of Chester and Lacey, it's very well written, and has great photography.
