Companion Flurinstant

20W fluorescent light that plugs into a normal B22 incandescent lamp socket.

To keep it lightweight, a 500 ohm resistor is used as a current limiter instead of an iron cored choke.

This was purchased from Millars Hardware in Northbridge in 1981.

The design originated in the UK where it is known as the Light Ideas Quick Strip.
