PEB building usage in Cold Chain Industry
Due to lack of storage capacity, every year, the country bears a major loss on wastage of vegetables and fruits. Interestingly as per the horticultural statistics, Fruits and Vegetables production has surged impressively, making India the second largest global producer. In spite of such huge production, storage availability is low. . India’s cold chain industry is still evolving, not well organized and operating below capacity. A report says “capacity to be increased by 40% to avoid wastage.” Although there is a vast scope of increasing production, lack of cold storage and cold chain facilities have bottlenecked the potential.
