Stranger #64 - Shaun [Explored]

I met Shaun sitting at the top of some steps leading down to Dean Street in Newcastle. He usually doesn't like having his photo taken but was very happy to help me out - in fact, I think he was a bit flattered.

 

Shaun has been having a rough time lately for a number of reasons, and reflected on how he had been a 'bad lad' as a youngster - causing his mother lots of stress. He was determined to turn things around for himself, and he dreams of getting his own place to help him start afresh.

 

Despite his 'hard times,' Shaun had a twinkle in his eye, and I really hope things work out for him. When I shook his hand and thanked him for his time, he smiled, and said, 'Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.'

 

An excellent motto, and a lovely stranger experience. I hope you like the photo, - thank you again, Shaun.
