Stranger #44 - Bryon

'Time is something I've got plenty to give,' Bryon said when I asked him for his photo.

 

I approached Bryon because I thought he had a kind, friendly face. I was back on the stranger hunt after a few weeks drought and I needed someone who would ease me back in to this scary project.

 

Bryon has been unemployed and actively looking for work since 2007. As we chatted, it was clear that he is a very intelligent and knowledgeable man. He loved learning new languages, could speak Russian and was wanting to learn Polish.

 

I got the feeling that the last few years had been incredibly difficult for Bryon, and I felt sad that a man who seemed to have so much to offer was in this situation.

 

I asked Bryon for a piece of advice to give my 13 year old son.

 

'Tell him to learn a second language,' he said.
