Stranger #33 - Anna
Anna was part of the 'strangers are just friends you haven't met yet' encounter. (See stranger #32, Ellen)
She was visiting her 19 year old grand-daughter who was at uni doing English. She had (amongst other things) a big bag of popcorn for her, and she was going to take her to the Grainger Market for some meat, and to the shops for some clothes.
Anna joined the discussion we had about how old we thought we looked and old we actually felt. She was 82 but felt like a 40 year old. :)
In just a few minutes, we established an extraordinary connection between the 4 of us. So much precious information and so much empathy and understanding shared between strangers in a very brief encounter on Northumberland Street.
I wish I'd taken a shot of the 3 three ladies together. Meeting as strangers, leaving as friends.
Thank you Anna :) You are a gem, and so glad we met.
Anna is #33 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
