Stranger #25 - James
My 12 year old son chose stranger #25. We were in Newcastle for a haircut, but he was also keen to watch his blundering mother in action approaching strangers. We saw several perfect candidates, but I just kept bottling it - much to his annoyance. :)
Finally, on our way back to the car, he'd heard enough excuses and practically pushed me into the path of James, hissing 'DO IT!'
James was (thankfully) a STAR stranger - very happy to take part in the project and keen to help. :)
He is to become a father for the first time in June and described his wedding day as the best day of his life.
James works in an electronics store, but prefers old technology rather than the new stuff. He was going to buy himself a typewriter.
'What are you going to write?' I asked
'Well actually, I'm a writer and a poet,' he replied.
I'm SO glad I was pushed into James's path - such a nice guy. I tried to find you on the internet, James but Tom had lost the link to the place you mentioned (hopeless child!) If you find this pic, please could you post the link! I need to be better prepared next time!
James is #25 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
