123 years ago W Martin took over this in shop in 73 Cheriton High Street from Anderson's corn and coal merchant. It's been run by the Martin family ever since. That makes it the shop that's had the longest continual single family ownership in the town. If you saw inside you would believe that nothing has changed since Martin first bought it [except the prices].
