Social Distancing Gorilla

Whatever else he was, there is no doubt that John Aspinall was a successful keeper and breeder of Western Lowland Gorillas. I was a regular visitor to Port Lympne from 1976 when he opened it to the public. I saw him a couple of times wearing his trademark white cap, communicating with and seemingly giving 'treats' to one of his gorillas. This was long before his son turned it into a hotel theme park.

Not a great photo, but this silver-back was some distance away - I believe gorillas are susceptible to Covid.
