Malta Agriculture

The Maltese countryside seems to be broken up by low walls into small parcels of land. Malta's agricultural sector is in fact very small and only accounts for less than 3 percent of GDP. Most farms are small and privately owned. Most of the crops and foodstuffs produced are consumed domestically.
