The Storr
To the right of the photo is The Storr, the highest point on the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye, the longest geological landslip in Britain. The area in front of the cliffs of the Storr is known as the Sanctuary. This has a number of weirdly shaped rock pinnacles, the most famous of which is Bodach an Stoir (The Old Man of Storr) which you can see poking up. It’s a rock pinnacle standing 164 feet (50 m) in height.
