Samphire Hoe

The newest part of Kent created from the spoil excavated during the construction of the Channel Tunnel. The newly created habitat has attracted plenty of wildlife, with butterflies, ground nesting skylarks and meadow pipits, the bushes attract stonechats and a wide variety of migrant birds. Peregrine falcons can often be seen hunting the cliffs.
