Golden Jubilee Bridge[s]
When I first worked in London, Charing Cross was my destination station, and to reach that from south of the river Thames you had to cross the Hungerford railway bridge. The bridge, comprising nine spans made of wrought iron lattice girders, was opened in 1864. Walkways were added on each side, with the upstream one later being removed when the railway was widened.
But the footbridge gained a bad reputation and was even the scene of a murder in 1999, but there are now two new footbridges either side that were opened in 2002 named the Golden Jubilee Bridges, in honour of the fiftieth anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne. And they appear to be well used, day and night.
