Godinton Park House
Godinton is a Jacobean house was built around a medieval great hall. It was originally owned by the Goldwell family. It was the seat of the Toke family for about 455 years from 1440 to 1895. The house is set in 12 acres of beautiful gardens and surrounded by tranquil parkland. It has been fortunate, and unusual among its neighbours, in having only two major changes in ownership in six hundred years. Probably for this reason it has remained relatively unsullied by time.
