Sandling Park House
The original house built by the Italian architect Bonomi for the Deedes family in 1796 was destroyed by enemy action in 1942, and the late Major Hardy built the present house under post-war restrictions (that is, following the 1947 Town and Country Planning Act).
Sandling Park was developed on the site of the ancient wood of Westenhanger and was probably originally fenced for deer.
