The Kjenndal glacier

Kjenndalen valley is like a miniature Grand Canyon, with high mountains and narrow tributary valleys. The summits are clad in ancient pinewoods and the Kjenndalselva river flows along the flat valley floor. Between 1980 and 1997 the glaciers grew by over 300 metres, but in the last few years the glacier arms have actually been retreating. So peaceful here, just the sounds of nature.
