HISTORY

Pillar completed 4th September 1947 costing £6.4s.0d. Computed as tertiary triangulation station NZ42/T54 in 1948. Levelled for height to first class precision, tertiary standards in 1966. Last maintained by the OS in April 1986.

 

SITE VISIT

Parked by south side of road at NZ397333 almost opposite boundary line to trig. Direct route north to trig which stands NW of junction of hedges. Pillar in SE corner of field and in good condition. Plastic plug in spider. Flush bracket faces 11° (N). Vented through south sight hole. 360° open outlook over hedges.
