Second Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1936-52)

This flush bracket was used during the second geodetic levelling of Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 409.9120 feet above mean sea level. It was included on the Braemar to Banchory levelling line. Geodetic line G.206, levelled during 1946. The surveyor's description was N face, 3' E from NW angle of "Huntly Arms Hotel", Aboyne.

 

This marker was last verified in 1974. The OS Online Archive gives the description "building, S side of road, N face, N angle".
