G0915 - Tillydrine

NO 6022 9872, LR37 & LR45.

 

Second Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1936-52).

Flush bracket G915 was used during the second geodetic levelling of Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 402.033 feet above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Banchory to Rhynie levelling line. Geodetic line G.205, levelled during 1944. The surveyor's description was SE face, S angle of "Lower Tillydrine", W side of road.

 

This marker was last verified in 1974. The OS Online Archive gives the description "building, Lower Tillydrine Farm, SE face, S angle".

 

SITE VISIT

Farm building, first building on approach in driveway. Householder was outside and happy for photography. FB in good condition.
