SITE VISIT

Parked in the mapped car park at NG698568. Overall approach from NNW, up via the Cuiag trig pillar, S9800. Climbed a deer fence and entered woodland at NG703563. It was rough going underfoot as the protected woodland is not grazed. The woods are mainly decidous and quite sparce. Left the woodland, climbing another deer fence at NG715540. Open beeline route past some cattle on easy ground to the summit from there. The Vanessa is in good condition. The spider centre is open. The flush bracket faces northeast, compass measurement 57°. Vented through the right (NW) sight hole. Full 360° panoramic view.
