Second Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1936-52).

This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 214.9440 feet [65.5149 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Perth to Glenshee levelling line. Geodetic line G.261, levelled during 1943. The surveyor's description was E face, 10' from N angle of smithy, W side of road.

 

Third Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1956-68).

This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, Scotland. It was included on the Perth to Glenshee levelling line. Geodetic line G.346, levelled during 1958. The surveyor's description was SE face of building, NW side of road.

 

SITE VISIT:

Outbuilding or smithy to south of cottage. On left gable towards back. Behind wooden gate, visible from outside. Courtesy ring before access. FB in good condition.
