johnnyhobart: Interesting rocks there

tall_glass_o_milk: Indeed @johnnyhobart these here rocks are the result of hydrovolcanism! What you see here is a tuff ring, which formed as basalt magma rose from below an ice age lake bed. The magma interacted explosively with the groundwater, and the pyroclastic material ejected in all directions, forming a ring. In this particular case, the ring was subsequently eroded by wave action from the surrounding lake. The former water line is visible on the lower right 👍😀👍
