Waves of protest at the pain

The innocent punished, again and again

As they struggle to reach the light

Escape the terrors of the night

 

Where in the darkness, no one answered the call

To disarm the clouds, and make no pain fall

Where eyes go blind and refuse to see

Hope imprisoned, no longer free

 

Causing waves of protest at the pain

Of innocent punished, again and again

To help their struggle to reach the light

Where they will escape the terrors of the right
