Planting the Wheat Seed
The way wheatgrass in the research was planted is the same as how wheat has been planted for thousands of years. The seeds must be spaced so the roots can spread out. If the seeds are too close together, the roots have no place to go, the leaves become pale, thin and have very low nutrition compared to properly grown wheatgrass. When seeds are spaced right next to each other in trays and grown indoors, not only is the nutritional content much lower, but mold and bacteria grow in the hot house conditions and the crowded root conditions and lack of sunlight reaching down into the soil around each plant. Mold and bacteria are not a problem when wheatgrass is grown as nature intended.
