Baia Sprie: Biserica de Lemn ortodoxa Sf Imparati
The wooden church was built between 1999-2000 by the good faithful Bessarians, coordinated by Pr. Ciprian SUARĂŞEAN, eparchial vicar of the Maramureş and Satu Mare Diocese.
The work was carried out for three years by a team of woodworking craftsmen from Rona de Sus until the finishing phase. During this time the interior finishes were executed by a local team led by Mr. Gheorghe POP.
Once the finishes have been finished, the stone carved stone carved in oak wood was mounted by Gheorghe DONCA, the carversman of Satul Nou de Sus, and the church was sanctified.
The sanctification of the church took place in the summer of 2001 by HE. His Justinian CHIRA, Archbishop of Maramures and Satu Mare, with the patronage of the "Holy Emperors Constantine and Helen".
Since 2010, several works have been carried out as the construction of a Summer Shrine in the premises of the parish of the year
In the spring of 2011, a wooden cottage in Maramureş style was built to serve as a parish priest and space for church objects and the sale of candles, as well as a stone-built candle near the church to use candles by the faithful.
