The painters of the church were Radu Munteanu and Gheorghe together with Alexandru Ponehalschi (a Polish painter at the beginning, with a first work recorded in 1751: the icon of the Virgin Mary and the Child from the Bârsana Monastery).
The iconostasis of the church in Deseşti consists of three superimposed registers, the lower part containing four royal (mobile) icons. On the upper temple were painted the scenes: Crucifixion, Glory and Resurrection. The second register has God-Father in the center, and the prophets appear on the flanks. In the middle of the third register appears the Deisis scene, on the one hand, and the other is the apostles.
The Deseşti UNESCO Church houses fourteen painted icons in tempera on wood. An icon - representing Jesus the Pantocrator - is made in the seventeenth century, and the others date back to the 17th century. XVIII. The Mother of God with Baby and Deisis were painted in 1752, according to the inscription on the first icon, and they are supposed to be part of the iconostasis of the old church.
Alexandru Ponehalschi painted the icons in 1778 representing Jesus the Pantocrator (May 15, 1778) and the Mother of God with the Child.
Radu Munteanu (originally from Ungureni - Land of Lapus) is supposed to have painted here four icons: Ascension of Jesus, Baptism of the Lord, Change to the face and Holy Paraschiva. The Saint Paraschiva Icon (the end of the 18th century) became the icon of the patron of the church.
The crown of the nave symbolizes the sky. On the vault of the church was painted Mary the Lord Oranta, Jesus Teacher and four archangels - vast representations of the Old Testament. The Passion Cycle comprises sixteen scenes due to Radu Munteanu, while on the bottom of the walls are drawn the faces of the martyrs (military saints, hermits, confessors).
In the narthex (the place of access and prayer for women) there can be seen scenes from the Last Judgment - Hell (three walls were allocated). As a peculiarity, at the church in Deseşti were represented in the paintings Lenea, Death, Plague and Hunger. At the top of the southern wall dominates the image of Moses leading the Gentiles to Jesus' court court. In the narthex, above the entrance, diametrically opposed to Jesus the Judge, the Mother of God appears in the form of an orant.
