that makes it somewhat more useful

(arguably)

to emphasize some aspects

 

as in look past the details and see the general characteristics, such as is the case in many 'real time observations"

 

In flight

CACG "read"

as

small bodied with long tapered wings

in comparison to ducks or other geese

 

at times displaying almost gull like flight characteristics

 

the angle of the subjects are also enhancing these impressions

as well as the

aspects of small heads & short necks

 

The flight style and structural impressions are often very distinctive and should/could cue one on to them

 

When it comes to the overlap between larger CACG & smaller CANG it can be much trickier -- but the general principles still apply
