find the essense--color version

A Tibetan Buddhist nun at the great Boudhanath Stupa, Boudhanath, Nepal. I thought to honor the effort of this woman's life by posting a color version of an earlier post.

This photo reminds me of the quote by the famous Tibetan yogi Milarepa:

 

Fearing death I went to the mountains.

Over and over again I meditated on death's unpredictable coming

And took the stronghold of the deathless unchanging nature.

Now I am completely beyond all fear of dying.
