Hammertime

While not having uploaded a technique for ages, I thought I just post my current road before sorting it back. First of all: I guess www.flickr.com/photos/124546590@N03/30531541671/in/datepo... was the first to use Thor's hammer this way.

I figured out a pattern to make building with hammers kind of systematical. It's what you can see in the front (tan plate). Hollow studs are great and i guess the tiniest way to connect the hammers. In my case I wanted to add a slight curve to the road and added (new) 1x1 modified plate clips to angle the hammers (connection is quite sturdy). Keep in mind that the hammers leave gaps to the rest of the base which are X studs + 0,5 stud. I used jumpers and railplates (on the left) to fill the gaps and let rockwork and road melt into each other as good as possible.

I used 55 Hammers in this one, if I counted correctly.
