E' una torre fortificata che sorge su un'isoletta del mar Tirreno a sud di Nettuno (Lazio, Italy) ed è collegata alla terraferma da un ponte in muratura. Attualmente tutta l'area costiera su cui sorge la torre è incorporata in un poligono militare dell'esercito che ne preclude l'accesso, salvo che nei mesi estivi. Il che ha risparmiato questo tratto di costa dall'urbanizzazione turistica conservando l'ambiente naturale caratterizzato da pinete e macchia mediterranea.

Torre Astura is a fortified tower that stands on an islet in the Tyrrhenian Sea south of Nettuno (Lazio, Italy) and is connected to the mainland by a brick bridge. Currently, the entire coastal area on which the tower stands is incorporated into a military polygon of the army that precludes access, except in the summer months. This has saved this stretch of coast from tourist urbanization while preserving the natural environment characterized by pine forests and Mediterranean scrub.
