A FGW class 165 seen here at Greenford having arrived on the 1210 from London Paddington.

 

From next year these services are planned to terminate at West Ealing to allow their paths between West Ealing and London Paddington to be used to provide extra services to Heathrow Airport in preperation for the opening of Crossrail.

 

A problem not answered however is that there is no rolling stock available to work this service so I wont be surprised if these through services to Paddington continue for an extra year or two.

 

Even these class 165/166 turbo dmu's are to leave the area soon since they will be transfered down to other parts of the UK once they are placed by new emu's. Bristol is expected to be one of the

area's to receive these units
