PRS_067 Robe en patchwork de denim, Olivier Rousteing - Balmain, 2022

Inspired by the splendour of Versailles and the refinement of its collection of objets d'art, Olivier Rousteing blends this influence with grunge. The opulence of this embroidered dress echoes the taste in décor of Queen Marie-Antoinette (1774-1792). The volutes are a reference to the gilded bronzes on the furniture, while the pastel colours and beading are typical of smaller objects such as ceramics, watches and snuffboxes.

Dress in a denim, velvet, mesh and leather patchwork, embellished with gold bullion embroidery, and quilted with beads and metal bugle beads.

"Marie Antoinette' heels, Christian Louboutin

Satin with embroidery by Lesage, cannetille, beads, sequins, velvet ribbons and torn chiffon.
