Great Western Railway Accountancy Office, Hockley, c. 1935. photo National Railway Museum.

Passenger station including a large Goods depot serving the Birmingham area. There are 15 women in view in this one office; today a single computer could probably cover the same workload.

Hockley, Birmingham, England, opened 1854-closed 1972, station on the Great Western Railway's London to Birkenhead via Birmingham line.

Taken from the Summer 1995 issue of the ‘Great Western Railway Journal’ quarterly magazine. Photo – National Railway Museum.
