kuakata Sun Set

kuakata is mostly a beautiful sea beach on the southernmost part of Bangladesh. Operating out of the Patuakhali district, Barishal division. Kuakata has a wide sandy beach from where one can see both the sunrise and sunset. It is about 320 Kilometres south of Dhaka and about 70 Kilometres from district headquarters. Kuakata is a part of the larger Sundarbans hit. The Kuakata beach is 30 km long and 6 kilometre wide.

Kuakata is an excellent combination of the illusive loveliness, white sandy beach, series of coconut tries, blue sky, huge expanse of water for the Bay of Bengal and evergreen forest in surrounding areas really mind-numbing. It will be a great pleasure bathing or diving or merely lazing here. This virgin beach, lined by coconut trees, is mostly a sanctuary for migratory winter birds. The Bay is always with your life with colorful sail boats, surfing waves, towering cliffs, fishing or even walking on the beach. The illusive beauty of Kuakata is enjoyable only and not just describable in words.

The name Kuakata originated from the message ‘Kua’-the Bengali word for “Well”. Kuakata offers a full view for the sunrise and sunset from the same white sandy beach on the water of the Bay of Bengal.

The unique customs for the Rakhyne tribal families and the statue of Goutom Buddha about millennium old located at Misripara, Keranipara and nearby places indicate all the ancient tradition and cultural heritage. A number of devotees arrive here to take part the festival of Rash Purnima and Maghi Purnima. On all of these both occasions, traditional fairs held and the devotees take holy bath on the beach. How to start

To inspect Kuakata, you have to travel to Barisal first by avenue, water, or air, and then you start to by car or launch. Recently Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has introduced an immediate bus service from Dhaka to Kuakata via Barisal.
