The Kingston’s - Issue #11 “Virus”
*Susan’s forehead burned, she dripped with sweat and her body trembled. Her heart raced as she thought about Coby, turns out Death-Penalty had taken him. He was a serial killer she and her brother caught back in the day when he was put on death row. But his lethal injection was tampered with, giving him powers beyond belief. He broke out and fled to work for an employer that A.N.G.E.L. was still trying to determine. Death-Penalty had lured them out and injected her with something. It was a virus for sure, she knew the symptoms. She wanted to go to the hospital after she called and informed A.N.G.E.L. about what happened. However, the Nuclear Plantation where her Über was just so happened to be under attack. She knew that the quicker she helped the better, she couldn’t call it in for another hero she had to deal with this ASAP or anything could happen.*
Susan: “Please not be a villain...”
*Susan stumbles towards the chaos, almost being knocked to the ground by scared workers who flee from the sound of explosions coming from above. The alarms blaring caused Susan’s head to scream in pain. She leans against the rail, pulling herself up the stairs. Two men are heard, one yelling and the other screaming for help. She sees a huge hole in the wall leading to an office and a large man in a hazmat suit has what appears to be his boss embedded in the wall. The Hazmat suited man is yelling about how he’s a monster now and how it is his boss’ fault. Susan wipes the sweat off her head and shivers stepping over the rubble, the Hazmat man hears her and drops his boss turning around, his face full of rage.*
Hazmat: “Get the hell away from me! This is between me and this son of a b-“
Susan: *vomits* “Dammit. Aargh!”
*Susan drops to the ground writhing in agony, her eyes flash bright green and begin to burn in pain like hot knives were stabbed into them. Hazmat watches her, his anger beginning to settle as he sees the young woman crying out. He reaches out for her but sees his boss trying to escape, he aims his palm at the man and is about to let off an energised beam but Susan punches his kneecap making him miss his shot. He yells angrily and stomps his boot down but Susan grabs his leg with surprising strength. He looks down shocked and Susan shrieks lifting him up, getting to her feet and slamming him through the floorboards. The boss escapes and runs off looking back at Susan terrified as she stands over Hazmat, her vision beginning to blur and her blood starting to boil.*
Susan: *weakly* “What’s happening to me?”
