Issue#18 "No laughing matter"
I stand next to Joker clutching my scythe smirking, the gas seeps its way down the long corridors into the lungs of every victim within it. I close my eyes waiting to hear the satisfying terrorised screams fill my ears as they see their worst fears but I frown beginning to hear chuckling and then loud hysteric laughter. I open my eyes staring in horror at the students who's mouths are stretched wide in pained smiles, I turn to Joker gritting my teeth "You betrayed me, you tampered with my gas!" I say angrily swinging my scythe at him. He ducks avoiding it laughing and looks at me amused "Aw come on, they think it's funny!"
I growl angrily slashing at him with my scythe every swipe inching it's way closer to him, he cackles jabbing his knife towards me grinning menacingly. I aim the bottom of my scythe at him spraying him with my Phobia Gas, a puff of smoke masks his face but he just laughs louder "Haha that does nothing to me!" He beams stabbing me with a syringe in his other hand, it pierces my arm and I wince kicking him back clutching my wrist as I feel a mysterious liquid course it's way through my veins. I begin to feel dizzy and flee upstairs to the rooftop stumbling, he chases after me with his knife raised above his head. I lift my scythe up shakily trying to block it but suddenly two bullets fly past me into jokers kneecaps, he cries out slightly in pain and buckles to the floor. I scramble behind cover and peek over the wall seeing a glimpse of a sniper with a black hood as he lifts up his rifle walking away from the window.
"Up here Puddin'" I hear a high pitched female voice command, I peer over the rooftop puzzled and see a Goliath of a creature clamber its way up the side of the building with Harley Quinn mounted on its back. She cries out angrily as the crocodile creature reaches the top of the building, I see Joker crawling away with a pained grin on his face as he leaves a trail of blood from his legs behind him. Harley leaps off the creatures back with her sledgehammer raised above her head glaring down at Joker full of hatred, Joker stares up at her with a look of amazement whilst she brings her sledgehammer down onto his skull. His blood splashes on my hat trickling down over my armour. I see her stand over his corpse with a sadistic smile spread across her face. I gag fleeing the scene hearing her laughter echo down the corridor after me whilst I stumble down the stairs beginning to chuckle "What did he inject me with?" I think to myself laughing hysterically.
