Light at a real lost place
At this place the light for the imprisoned humans did not shine for many years during WW2. Nazi Germany build up this site as a prisoner of war camp. Many POWs died here because of inhuman conditions.
In the years 1952 - 1960 the camp was used for refugees from der the German Democratic Republic.
After that period the camp had several different user, private and public such as the German Army (Bundeswehr). The modern army used the camp as a storage facility.
Since some years the remains of the camp are a memorial site with an exhibition about the former years especially the WW2.
After a guided tour i realized that this was one of the place where the sun not shined for many fates - a lost place in the true sense of the meaning.
Thank you to the volunteers for keeping the memorial in a good condition and guidance through the history of this site.
