This painted flag is a large leftover from the movie set for Superman: Man of Steel, 2011, which was filmed with Main Street, Plano, representing Smallville, where Superman grew up. We were in town for a tour of the Farnsworth House, designed by Mies van der Rohe, and had lunch at Ivana's Cafe while watching trains that go by without stopping.
