Wet Start for Young John-Paul
Heavy rain for several days has not made it easy for roses on the Gold Coast. However the prolific John Paul II hybrid tea rose keep on coming. This image was captured this morning after howling winds and 220mm of mostly horizontal rain over night. To be fair it should be noted that the drenched rose was in a walled garden at my hinterland home on the southern Gold Coast. However, its somewhat ruffled visage was a heroic performance!
