Razzle Dazzle on the Quiet
African Violet (Streptocarpus Streptocarpella Saintpaulia) is a small flower (as the name suggests) with numerous cultivars even non-violet ones like this. The reflective cells are adapted trichomes (hairs), apparently adaptations to make the flowers visible to pollinators in shaded locations. Scattered pollen indicates this one is open for business. In my kitchen in the hinterland of the Queensland.
