Ixora in the Noonday Sun

These plants grow well to about two thirds of a metre in my sub-tropical sub-tropical Gold Coast hinterland garden. Their stems are brutally thorny but the flashes of red are very attractive. Raindrops stick and dry in the almost horizontal flowers as this macro image shows.
