Total Camouflage — One Eye Open

Tawny Frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) in characteristic defensive pose looking like a dead tree branch and totally still. Note that the eye is open just a little to detect intruders. This is no surprise because the tawny frogmouth eyes are very striking and a serious blemish in camouflage efforts. In my Gold Coast hinterland garden.
