Jogger
High tide in the Currumbin Creek Estuary begins splashing through the Beree Badalla Boardwalk as an early morning jogger moves through the frame. The Beree Badalla conservation area was saved from development by community activism by the 'Friends of Currumbin' in 1980. It is part of the Currumbin declared Fish Habitat Area and provides habitat for four different mangrove species, numerous fish and crabs, waders and other shoreline birds. With its serpentine boardwalk it also enhances the human habitat with fishing, exercise, accessible nature and aesthetic activity such as photography — thanks for that!
