Orthetrum coerulescens (Fabricius, 1798)

En el campo lo distingo de su pariente más cercano, Orthetrum brunneum, por el morrete oscuro.

También lo podemos hacer por el color y la forma del abdomen, más cilíndrico y de un azul grisáceo.

Lleva un buen golpe en el tercer segmento abdominal.

Se cumple lo del "pitorrillo" que decía Teo.

In the field I can tell it apart from its closest relative, Orthetrum brunneum, by its dark snout.

We can also tell it apart by the colour and shape of its abdomen, which is more cylindrical and greyish blue.

It has a good bump on the third abdominal segment.

The "pitorrillo" thing Teo said is true.
