Cordulegaster boltonii (Donovan, 1807)

Como en casi todas las especies se ven muchos más machos que hembras, ambos con el mismo color.

A la vista la hembra es más grande, bastante si tenemos la suerte de verlos juntos. Los podemos distinguir porque el abdomen del macho forma un embudo en los primeros segmentos, como el de la foto, además de poder ver la genitalia secundaria.

As in almost all species, many more males are seen than females, both with the same color.

At sight the female is larger, quite a bit if we are lucky enough to see them together. We can distinguish them because the male's abdomen forms a funnel in the first segments, like the one in the photo, in addition to being able to see the secondary genitalia.
